Earls Kitchen + Bar

Matthew and I first discovered Earls Kitchen + Bar on Denver’s 16th Street Mall.
We heard about their brunch happy hour >> $8 for steak & eggs?! We gave it a try and were sold from the start.

Since then, we’ve been to Earls many times. Not only because it’s an easy walk from our apartment, but also because we truly always have a pleasant experience there. The service is always great – friendly but not overbearing, the prices are reasonable (especially during happy hour), the menu is huge – in a good way, and the food & drinks are always tasty.

We had gone to Earls for brunch multiple times before we decided to try their dinner. In fact, the first time we sat down for dinner at Earls was the day Matthew proposed to me! We decided to celebrate with a laid-back date night at a restaurant we could count on.

Upon arrival, they immediately congratulated us and gave us champagne to toast. The whole night was low-key, but everything we had was high-quality, including our service, drinks, and food. From the champagne and mojitos to the sushi I ordered and the burger Matthew got, we were so satisfied with everything.

It had been probably over a year since we had been to Earls until just the other week. We found an old gift card we had to use and we opted for the location in Park Meadows, since the downtown Earls is closed for the time being.

We arrived during happy hour and it reminded us of why we fell in love with Earls in the first place! The $5 marg I got was so fresh, Matthew’s beer was great, and the discounted spinach & artichoke dip, sushi, tacos, and the poke bowl were all top-notch. On top of that, our waitress was so kind and efficient, even though she seemed to be serving 8 other tables at the same time.

I am so much more interested in trying new places than continuously returning to the same restaurant – especially a chain. But Earls is one spot that we always seem to come back to – and one spot we are never disappointed in!

Have you been to Earls? What’s your go-to order?
